Olexandr Butsenko, born 1954 in Kyiv, Ukraine, is a writer, expert-analyst, translator, journalist and observer. His main subjects are cultural policies, research, literature and art. He is the director of the development centre "Democracy through Culture", adviser of the Committee on Culture of the Ukrainian Parliament and expert of Council of Europe cultural policy projects.
