Denisa Comanescu

Denisa Comanescu, born in Buzan Romania, 1954, is a poet, a translator and an editor. She is editorial director of Humanitas Publishing House, Bucharest (Piata Presei Libere 1, RO-013701, Romania). She is a member of Romanian Writer's Union and of the Romanian PEN Centre, she was the secretary of PEN between 1990-2004, and a board member of Irish-Romanian Cultural Foundation. Denisa Comanescu is working with poetry and performing arts and she is the author of five volumes of poetry. She has received three literary prizes and has been published in anthologies in 16 different countries.
