Antoni Gelonch studied Pharmacy and Laws at the University of Barcelona. He is also qualified in Bussines Administration by IESE of the University of Navarre. He worked during 10 years in the public sector, in the Catalan Administration, or he was Cabinet's Director and Deputy-Minister of the Ministry of Education and Deputy-Minister at the Catalan Ministry of Health, in charge  of the public health.Later he worked as high executive in the pharmaceutical sector during 16 years. In other domains, he is founder of the Collection Gelonch Viladegut (engraving collection), Academician of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Barcelona, and President of the Circles of the Museum Frederic Marès and the Museum of History of Barcelona.He is also President of the Foundation Barcelona 1989, and member of the Board of the Foundation ACE for Alzheimer's Disease and the Foundation Barcelona Culture.
